2023 Danish Audition Workshop - The Lightning Thief

This program works on developing youth’s abilities for auditions. The instructor will focus on each skill needed in auditioning for a musical and then work to put them all together in a fun, creative, and expressive way. Participants will get firsthand instruction on the dance, vocal, and acting portions of auditions for our upcoming 10 & Up Danish Musical, The Lightning Thief!

2023 Musical Theater Summer Camps
Camps for Grades K-5
Actors in grades Kindergarten-5th Grade will explore the world of Musical Theater through our Musical Theater Summer Camps! They will engage in skits, games, songs, and dances to introduce them to the different elements of theater. Camps differ based on grade. They will only meet weekdays, with a Parent Showcase on the final day of camp at 11am.

2023 Tech Training Workshop (free)
FREE Tech Training Workshop
When: Saturday, January 7th, from 10am-1pm
Where: Greenville Area Recreation and Community Center, Theater
Who: Open to all ages! This is an intro course, so it will be directed toward those with no tech experience.
What: A free workshop focused on the technical side of theater! Learn how to operate lights and sound, with our trained Technical Representative, Oli Tower. Participants will get detailed instruction about all things tech, and then they will be able to apply their learning by running tech for a mock skit! This workshop will allow patrons to gain the knowledge they need to be on tech for our future shows!

2022 Musical Audition Workshop
This program works on developing youth’s abilities for auditions. The instructor will focus on each skill needed in auditioning for a musical and then work to put them all together in a fun, creative, and expressive way. The activities in this class are geared toward improving and enhancing the student’s self-image and self-confidence. Numbers from HCAT’s upcoming musical will be used throughout this non-stop musical adventure!

2022 Shakespeare Audition Workshop

Build your skills for the upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet!
Actors ages 12-20 will become familiar with some of William Shakespeare’s famous plays, sonnets and poems, transform into Shakespeare’s characters through voice and movement. Along with Shakespeare fundamentals and language used on stage, the emphasis will be on how to audition for a Shakespearean show. This workshop will broaden your young actors stage experience and prepare them for the upcoming “Shakespeare in the Park” auditions!
