Meet the Teacher

Our dance instructor is, Mary Green. She is excited to share her passion for dance with the community!

Class DescriptionS

Pop-tastic Dance: (ages 4-10) Kids will have a blast as they dance to familiar pop songs, outside at the GARCC. They’ll learn to shimmy, twist, and a variety of other dance moves. Please bring a water bottle, some tennis shoes, and a positive attitude.

Performance Tumbling: (ages 18-36 months) Students will learn body control, balance, performance fundamentals- all used together in a simple routine.  Please wear stretchy, comfortable clothing, barefoot/no shoes or socks.

Pre Ballet/Tap: (ages 3-5) Students will learn basic ballet skills & explore creative movement in this class structured specifically for young dancers. Dance slippers and Tap Shoes are required. Please wear stretchy, comfortable clothing.

Ballet I: (ages 6-9) An introduction to formal ballet class structure. Covering the fundamentals of ballet technique, emphasizing strength, flexibility, rhythm, musicality, and alignment. Dance slippers are required. Please wear stretchy, comfortable clothing.

Tap I: (ages 6-9) Beginning tap instruction designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Tap shoes are required. Please wear stretchy, comfortable clothing.

Lyrical: (ages 10-14) Expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Please wear stretchy, comfortable clothing, barefoot/no shoes or socks.
