The Greenville Chamber Scarecrow competition Guidelines & Entry Form- FREE Entry
Please read the following rules before completing your entry. Anyone can enter- Individuals, businesses, school groups, organizations.
Prizes and recognition
Scarecrows will be on display at the Greenville Expo, Sept. 30th. $350 Prize for "People's Choice". General public will be able to stroll through downtown (Lafayette Street) to vote for their favorite scarecrow with a selfie posted on social media and hashtag #theresnoplacelikehome
Voters will automatically be entered to win $100 in random draw.
Judging
Each scarecrow will have a printed placard with a scanable QR code that will take them to your personalized landing page. Your page will have details of your group/organization/business, the name and/or story of your scarecrow and instructions to vote.
Voters will need to take a selfie with their favorite and post on social media (Facebook or Instagram) with the hashtag #theresnoplacelikehome

Registration begins September 1st - fill the registration below
Pick-up your scarecrow frame at the Chamber office (210 S. Lafayette Street) before Sept 18th.
Get creative -build your scarecrow, and drop-off at the Chamber office by September 28th at 5:00pm
Materials
Scarecrows must be built from the frame supplied by the Chamber (you will need to pick up at the office). The construction of Scarecrows must be durable, all ornamentation securely attached. Your scarecrow will last longer if absorbent materials used for stuffing is inside plastic bags. No perishable items used with display. Scarecrows must be family friendly, nothing offensive.
*The Greenville Chamber reserves the right to remove any offensive scarecrows from the contest
