Transportation

The City of Greenville has two very important means of transportation which are the Greenville Municipal Airport and the Greenville Transit System:

    Greenville Municipal Airport is located approximately two miles south of Greenville.  As a Class C Commercial Airport, servicing light and medium aircraft, includes a 4,300 foot paved, lighted runway and a parallel taxi way. The airport also provides services such as charter services, airplane storage, flying lessons, and airplane maintenance.

  • Greenville Transportation System

    Greenville’s Transit System provides safe, affordable, and convenient public transportation throughout the City and neighboring Eureka Township.

    • Tips For Utilizing Greenville Transit

      1. Place call for service one-half hour in advance.
      2. If you cannot make your schedule pick-up please call and cancel your request for service.
      3. Be ready for your pick-up. The bus will wait no more than three minutes.
      4. Drivers of the bus are not permitted to assist patrons to the bus however; they will assist boarding the bus.
      5. The bus makes several stops en-route so plan for a slightly longer ride.
      6. Please limit the number of carry on packages; passengers are responsible for carrying and loading their own packages.
      7. During heavy snowfall the buses will run on cleared roads only.
      8. For everyone’s comfort, smoking, eating and drinking is not allowed on the bus.
      9. Exact change is required. Drivers cannot make change.
      10. Greenville Transit System tokens are available at City Hall and the Transit Garage.
