Public Services

The City of Greenville Public Services and WWTP Departments are a full service, local government agency entities providing operation and maintenance for a variety of public utilities and facilities. These departments are made up of sixteen (16) full time employees, which and include mechanics, maintenance workers, drinking water distribution system operators, and supervisors.

Public Service’s Duties & Responsibilities

    • Drinking Water System
    • Wastewater Collection System
    • Major and Local Streets System
    • Parks and Cemetery
    • City Motor Pool
    • Provides loose leaf pickup, brush chipping, trimming and removal of city-owned trees, and assistance with a wide variety of community activities.
    • Construction projects, such as the installation of utilities and streets for the United Solar Plants in the City’s Northern Industrial Park, and the new trail for Camp Wah-Wah-Tay-See, are also carried out by DPS Staff.
